  • Sorry to jump in on your thread Mouseann, but I just wanted to ask the knowledgeable people that are helping you if it is only loans/credit cards etc taken out prior to 2007 that can be deemed unenforceable?

Back to Mouseann, I've read a lot of your thread and I really hope things work out ok for you. You seem like a lovely lady and I really hope the stress of all of this is behind you very soon :-)

    Hello Mouseann and everyone,

Gosh it is busy on here!!!! I hope the sun is shining wherever you are. I hope you have managed to do some ebaying Ann and that you have had a good day.

I am glad so many people are posting. I am a friend (a friendly sheriff who drinks a lot of tea) but have no technical knowledge so i hope someone clever like George - the Phantom, RAS and Nargleblast (very clever and nice people) will be along to answer Bubble's & Winewater's questions.

It is the weekend.I am sooo pleased.

    Hi Bubbles,

Thanks for the kind words of support and encouragement.

My understanding is that the unenforceability only applies to agreements taken out before 2007 but I am by no means an expert on this.

And as my dear friend, Savingwannabe, has already mentioned, there are more knowledgeable people around who will be able to advise on this. Although our superhero NID (never-in-doubt) who is the supreme expert on this is away for the weekend.

Please do keep posting - apart from the practical advice I have found the support on here invaluable.

    Hi Sheriff Savingawannabe,

Hope you have had a good day!

Haven't done very much at all - have some stuff arrived in the post which I have been scanning in advance of our superhero's return!

Enjoy the weekend. It is forecast to be warm and sunny!

    Hello Ann

    You sound so professional!

I couldn't scan to save my life! I have just joined First Direct because of the £100 offer but they have sent me about a 100 letters (such a lot of paper) and i am ignoring them. When i run out of cash (from my old current acccount which i have closed now) i will have to ring them and find out how to withdraw my money. All i want is a switch card and my pin! I hope i can wait till next week and i will look through the paperwork and find them then!

I will be lesson planning for Friday. Panic!!!!! I am going to have an early night and then work all day tomorrow and Sunday too! Yuk!

Wonder if weather is nice for NID? It should be. I went to the Scottish Highlands on hols once and it was beautiful. I had some lovely fresh sea food, even had a haggis too!, it was a lovely holiday. I didn't see Nessie though! She was underwater when i popped by.

We are so lucky to live in England there is so much to do here.

    Hi Jinny,

    Love it!

Happy St George's Day from me GeorgeUK. Please keep slaying those dragons for us!

And actually I do still dread the arrival of the postman, as my statements are showing as overdue for the first time. The poor postman has been extra busy this week with all the stuff I have been receiving!

But if anything nasty arrives I know I can come on here for support now, which makes things easier.

Hope you don't have to work all weekend SW.

Try to enjoy some of the nice weather - we just don't know long it will ask!

Let's hope old Nessie doesn't go after NID - we want him back in one piece! Although he would probably be able to tackle and beat Nessie with one hand!
