Well, I would absolutely HATE to be a traffic warden! Hope they are well paid - danger money?
Likewise bin "people" - although I have more respect for them than traffic wardens! Might be a bit tough on women lifting all those heavy bins - or am I being sexist by saying that? And I would hate the awful smells ...."What does not kill me makes me stronger". Frederich Nietzsche, 1844-1900.0 -
Thank you all for my son's good luck wishes.
He does fit the bill and more going by the Job Description.
However, in his current job he drives everywhere to all destinations to meet his clients, such as job centres, workplaces, schools, depends where is clients are based as well.
So lots of driving involved, and when he goes back to his office, its all input of assessments he have made and so on, it is very demanding, but he enjoys working under pressure, and is doing a grand job.
Before he was an Employment mentor, he worked for the DWP, it was something for him to go on with from uni. He enjoyed that job as well, but loves a challenge and hopefully he will get a chance with this other one where its more permanent based.
Cheers all, I shall let you know if he hears something.:beer:The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Tend to agree Ann, mind you don't they all have wheelie bins that slot onto arms and are lifted by the cart? All they have to do is wheel em around.
Think how fit you'd get lol0 -
Interviews, application forms all those are so stressful. Pixie is busy with it all too. I am sure something positive will happen very soon. I know pixie was down a while ago. It's because we are in this horrid recession. We must all keep happy, it seems hard sometimes but we are meeting the nicest cheeriest most inspiring people. I hope Jinny is not tired. I am sending you a huge squishy hug Jinny from all of us.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220

It would be nice to work in a chocolate or cake factory or icecream factory. I would jump in and get sacked on the first day!Aiming for a minimal spend 20220

But you would soon get fed up with it - and probably never eat chocolate, cakes or ice cream ever again!"What does not kill me makes me stronger". Frederich Nietzsche, 1844-1900.0 -
A group called Deacon Blue sang a song about a man who worked for the council he picked up rubbish. I loved that song.

Good point about the wheelie bins, Moneypenny.
And I could really do with getting fit! Since retiring have been paranoid about what I eat (or don't eat!) and doing enough exercise. Also trying to keep my brain active - not sure I am succeeding on that score, though!"What does not kill me makes me stronger". Frederich Nietzsche, 1844-1900.0 -

You're probably too young to remember Lonnie Donegan and "my old man's a dustman"?
It was very popular - a long, long while ago!"What does not kill me makes me stronger". Frederich Nietzsche, 1844-1900.0
