    Hi everyone

My oldest is completing an application form for a Careers Adviser position, he is already an Employment Support Mentor (temp) but this he is applying for is permanent, please wish him luck.
    Cheers.

The closing date is this coming Tuesday.

    Fingers crossed.:j

I wish him luck, I'm a specialist careers teacher, it's not an easy job he's going for. Tell him to bone up on the local job market situation. What is available in the locality of the workplace in general, that should impress the interviewers at interview

Ms Moneypenny, i love saying that!!! I do hope that your knee is well and you are having a good day too.

It's getting there, I overdid it yesterday, still another 2 weeks sick leave before I have to go back and face the hoards...

    How's the marking going?

Moneypenny - are you a teacher too? That's 3 of us then. Unfortunately, I'm unemployed at the moment but going to do some more job applications this afternoon - which I hate doing because they take so long.

Yep secondary school, been teaching over 25 years on and off. Currently work in one of the new academies in London. Not an easy choice but as a Londoner born and bred there's nowhere else in the world I'd want to live.

It's not. I gave up a third of the way through. It is not exactly rocket science so it shouldnt take long, a few more hours. I am going to lie down for an hour or so and try again, blood sugars are crackers as i ate and forgot to inject!!! When it's hot i forget as i feel so blooming tired. I dont teach them till 12pm tomorrow so i have some time to play with!!!

Good advice for Di's son. Well done. I hope your knee is not too painful. Teaching in London, i do admire you, it is hard work i am sure. off for a quick sleep speak soon.

I think there's a little box on the application form that says something like only tick this box if you're stark staring mad... I must have ticked it. I'd love to get out but at my age I'd have to take a salary drop of about 20k in any other job so I'm stuck. 9 years to go....

Hello, just woke up again. I would find it hard to be a traffic warden. Bin men are supposed to be well paid but their backs must hurt. Has anyone ever seen a bin lady?
