Game, Item not received

We placed a order from Game.co.uk back at the start of feb and the game has not yet arrived. Looking on the game site they have a policy of how to claim for a product not delivered
I see this as why should the consumer do all the work for them, i would just like to know if this is legal or should we be able to tell game to refund or disptach a new game?
Thanks

Why have you not contacted them before now? I order lots of games through Game.
If a game did not arrive by on/about the date they state , I would contact them.
It is not that they want you to do their job for them, the reason they have policies in place for missing items is that there are people who will make false claims about missing items.
Sometimes the Post will deliver to incorrect address and Game will track the delivery.
They are very helpful and I am sure if you follow the procedure you will get satisfaction. You live..You learn.:)0 -
they said to wait 15 days before making a claim!:beer:In My 'Permanant' Pre-Masters Gap Year

That's because Royal Mail won't consider an item to be "lost" before then and as a result, they won't entertain any compensation claim.
I had a lost delivery from Game around Christmas. Filled out the form and it was dealt with fairly quickly.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
What date did you order the game, why not call them up and ask them whats going on, can they tell if it was sent out0

I always thought it was the sender that had to claim for the item, the recipient didn't have any rights (since Royal Mail's contract is with the sender).
Anyway, your contract is with Game, it's not your fault their chosen courier failed in their service, it's their problem. Make them sort it (that said, if it's going to be less hassle to make the claim yourself then you might want to do that unless you want to make a point)0 -
RM have changed it now so the receipient can claim, but they're not likely to have much proof.0

Game ask that the claim form be sent to them, not for the customer to make the claim themselves. I think it's perfectly reasonable for a company to ask the customer to confirm they haven't received a parcel before resending.0
