Using Phone Abroad
Hi
I am going overseas next week and want to avoid charges for using the web on my phone. What do I need to switch off to avoid them and if I were to connect to a wifi network in a cafe/hotel would I be charged?
Also, I've been told by O2 that I can send sms messages and it just uses 4 of my sms allowance per message rather than 1. Anyone know if I have to pay anything on top because they were a bit confusing.
Thanks

divert all calls to voicemail as you will be charged for all calls whether made or recieved and that can be really expensive the voicemail is situated in this country so it would act as if you hadnt left
when you have a call it will send you a text and then you cna decide whether to call or not
you cna connect to wifi if you have it on your phone but you would have to contact 02 what the charges are with thatReplies to posts are always welcome, If I have made a mistake in the post, I am human, tell me nicely and it will be corrected. If your reply cannot be nice, has an underlying issue, or you believe that you are God, please post in another forum. Thank you0
