Sorry if repetitive!

My O2 contract with carphonewarehouse is in 11th month. I've received a nice letter requesting me to give a call for upgrade. But i've decided to cancel the contract, but impossible to get the call to cancellation department. It keeps disconnecting though not sure they are doing it deliberately

Can i call O2 directly and cancel the contract? if not any free number to call cancellation department

many thanks
sunil

I was under the impression that you cancelled your contract with O2? I've not had an O2 contract but it works this way with Vodafone, Orange and T-mobile.

It may well be that for people billed through CPW (they do this for many people instead of through the network), you also have to cancel through them.

In any case, rather than bothering with potentially expensive phone calls, just send a written request to cancel (Dear Sir, I wish to cancel my contract, Yours Faithfully, Mr. X) with any details you think they might need (ie. account number) to them, keeping a copy of the letter.

If CPW billing, I emailed them and got this response:

They give you a number and a specific address - the number means it is not a dodgy disconnection by someone pretending to be you.

The loyalty team have more power to offer you a better deal, but be aware of possible problems with the Distance Selling Regulations and upgrades.
