There are three of us in a 2 bed flat and we pay £295 pa.
Without knowing the rate of charge that does not mean much I am afraid. If you are paying an RV bill then it will make not odds how many people there are in the property and if you are on a meter then the amount paid needs to be made clearer..ie is it an est based on a payment plan or based on 2 actual bills ? and if it is based on 2 bills then the figure is unlikely to remain exactly the same anyway.There is a race of men that don't fit in; A race that can't stand still;

Hi all I'm looking for a bit of feedback.
I have had a strange water bill which is miles higher than any other bill I have ever had. I live in a 2 bedroom flat - there are two of us and I have recently moved so I dug out my previous bill to compare:
Old Flat 8 cubic meters in 3 and a half months £37.48
New Flat 18 cubic meters in 2 months £62.47
It doesn't seem right, all I can think off is that the meter reading on the inventory on moving in was misread as I have verified the current reading is correct. Can meters get it wrong.
I plan to keep an eye on it and see if this high rate continues then decide what to do. I did query with Yorkshire water but they said the new flat usage is normal for 2 people.0 -
Well after contacting Yorkshire Water, I am now pleased to say they have put us on an assessed charge and we are in credit by £115.00 from last year. They obviously back dated it from when we requested the meter0
