SIM for use in USA with good call and data prices...

Tenth Anniversary Name Dropper First Post Combo Breaker
I'm travelling to Texas, USA for business for a week and would like to organise a prepaid SIM to use in my iPhone whilst out there. I've already had the phone unlocked (officially by o2) so i'm good on that front. What i'm looking for is recommendations on where to find a suitable SIM.

I'll be checking a lot of email, and using the phone to browse the internet and access data services, so it's important that whoever i go with also has a good data package.

Any recommendations?

Rob.

No one does 'good data package' for roaming.

You're much better off getting a sim over there, its got to be cheaper than paying the roaming charges (which can be up to £10 a meg on some networks)...

Yeah, if you can get a PAYG sim over there, will probably work out much cheaper

And stick to using WiFi wherever you can.

If there's coverage where you are then I think the only option really is to get an AT&T GoPhone SIM. You can add 100MB data allowance for $20.

I take it you're going to SXSW too, Rob. Let me know what SIM you find, I need one as well! :) Can you just walk into a shop and get one? I looked online and got v confused.
