T-Mobile... Dodgy practices...
Options
I just sent a long e-mail off to T-Mobile asking it to go to their legal department, but something for people to look out for:
I have contacted your telesales department who have said that these are issues for your Legal department/and or web/and or sales.
I would like a written response to each please on all of them:
1) Why is it if I choose a Flext/Relax price plan and then a phone and add Web'n'walk afterwards I have to pay around an extra £30 compared to selecting Web'n'Walk first. Thus providing multiple prices for the same machine.
2) Why can I select Freetime + Web'n'Walk in that order yet it isn't provided as an option under Web'n'Walk, thus potentially giving higher handset prices as shown in 1) above.
There were a load of other issues but i want to find the answer before I post!

1) Because if you select Web'n'Walk first it is part of your contract and you are committing to pay for it for the full 12/18 months. If you select it as an add on you can cancel it at any time. Mobile companies tend to charge less for the same handset if you're on a more expensive price plan.
2) There is no option to have Web'n'Walk as part of a Freetime contract, therefore it is only available as the no commitment add on. Hence the higher handset prices as you're not committing to a more expensive contract.
Incidentally I only know this as I was reading a t-mob brochure last night, and this is clearly stated in the tarrifs section - not in the small print. It would make you look less foolish if you checked your facts before sending long ranting emails.0
