Have just gone to remove McAfee and it says it is still working and that the pc is protected, so not sure what has gone wrong there! Er...what is the best way to remove this programme please? I think I will have to get some tuition to teach me to do more than just switch on and go to my usual sites

Thank you all so much :A0 -

....and then run the previously posted online removal link as it's more than certain add & remove programs won't get all of it off your laptop.0 -
Thanks everyone, you have all been so kind and helpful. I am now deciding which is the best programme to choose. The Avast programme which I downloaded in a panic t'other night has been telling me it has upgraded (or something similar) everyday bless it, so that is good for someone as dippy as me!
Cheers folks :beer:0 -
You need to use the McAfee removal tool before you do anything else.No free lunch, and no free laptop
