Orange, convert from contract to PAYG, no sim sent but contract cancelled...........

am at my wits end here

contract was cancelled on the 17th, requested on the 7th June, along with conversion to PAYG as i really needed to keep the number handy in my second phone
(only cancelled as work moved and there is no signal with orange)


now they're demanding that I re-instate the contract for 3 months in order to get the phone number back to convert to PAYG

I can't speak any sense into them, customer support are refusing to budge, even though it's their mess up for not ordering the sim card, they're pretending one was never ordered in the first place

any suggestions? :mad:
money saving my @rse.
I've spent 10x as much as I would if I had never discovered this website :-)

    I thought you could continue to use the same sim card? It was certainly my case with Vodafone.

    Orange SIMs are either contract or payg. I found this out when I tried to register one of their free payg sims and Orange couldn't register it because they told me I have been sent a 'contract SIM' by mistake!

    thats why I requested a PAYG sim card for that phone number before they cancelled the contract one

    I've done it twice before on orange accounts with no problems
    i'm not happy at the moment,
    money saving my @rse.
    I've spent 10x as much as I would if I had never discovered this website :-)
