“It is more fun to talk with someone who doesn't use long, difficult words but rather short, easy words like "What about lunch?"”:p:p:p:p:p:p:p
Or ".. would you like another gin and tonic...."
Just nipping in quickly to say hi whilst I have a cup of tea before going to clean NN's.
Valli, I thought of you this morning. We were discussing obsessional tidiness in the office. I said to one colleague "I bet you colour match your pegs on the line". She replied that she always did! Turns out though, if three pegs are required, she will ensure the middle one a contrasting one! How's about you?
Right off to fly next door and then do some flying here when I get back.I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

ah Macpep- I use sheets as well as a duvet so the duvet covers don't get washed every week - I use top and bottom sheets...I change them, and the pillowcases, every week.
Ahhhh....now I see, I couldn't do that as for one thing I would be too warm, another I have all my bedding in "SETS" so if a sheet gets dirty from the "set" then the full lot has to get changed

I love Valli because of her pegs, before I joined here, my DH thought I was the only person in the WHOLE WORLD who colour co-ordinated them on the line, If I had to use 3 then they would still all be the same colour, no contrasting allowed *shudder*:TGratitude is the best Attitude :T

Is there someone I can do an HHC with from 15:00 to 15:30 please? The baby has stopped making me sick (infact I dont even feel like Im pregnant this week) but DF's mum is arriving next Saturday (as he is becoming my DH the following monday) but I haven't flown since I was about 6 weeks and the house NEEDS it, but I cant get motivated. I have a dress fitting at 14:00 so Im sitting making lists for when I get back. I still have to do the topper for my cake this weekend and finish the flowers for the favour boxes. I was hoping some cleaning might motivate me to that end but I cant get going on the cleaning.
Ive been too afraid to come on here because Im scared I might get too caught up and feel obligated to post (yes, I know Toots said I didnt have to but I cant get my head around it) and then I'll really never get flying.

:jWhooooooo! Happy buuuurthday to me! Thanks for all the wishes my fellow flyers! And thankyou for all the huggles re the crappy court outcome. I am in much better spirits as we had Jaimee's parents evening wednesday and it was so amazingly sparkling that i couldnt help but glow a little, and secretly gloat that its me that has helped her be such a special and wonderful little girl, not her waster dad;)
I am absolutly EXHAUSTED. My sister came round wednesday to do wedding hair trials, and decieded to stay over and help me spring clean the whole house yest.....:cool::T We did nearly top to bottom so very super proud! Was shattered, and went to bed early but was kept up ALL night by milly who has chicken spots and Lewis had to have the dr out as he has croup and became very short of breath which was terrifing but he is fine and now on steroids, still insisted on going to school bless him! Has anyone elses little ones got dress up today for national book day? Jaimee has gone in as red riding hood, lewis as a racing driver out of his favorite book!
I've had a lovely birthday so far(despite being sooooo sleepy!) lots of nice goodies, and the hugest bunch of flowers ive ever ever seen, they are bigger than my tele!!! Hugs and snuggles to everyone xxxxx

Blinkin nora:rotfl:what a spring clean! I am sooooooo chuffed with myself its unbeliiiiiiiiiivable! The children are off to dads/nans tomorrow so jase and i have the whole day to ourselves so we plan to gut the kitchen, tops of all the cubords, clean out my junk drawers, clear top of blooming fridge! and have a shift round in the lounge, see how it looks arranged differently! Siany(my lovely sis) also put up my stunning mirror in the lounge, which has been laying in the hall waiting for jase to do it for the last 16weeks:eek: It makes a HUGE difference and looks wonderful. I shall leave you all be now, as i am about to go dive into a frothy lush bubble bath with my new book and a glass of champers before heading off to a birthday meal Jase has planned with jaimee-leigh! Love you all xxxx0 -

stands shoulder to shoulder with macpep on the pegs issue...
probably a good idea really to wash them altogtether actually because the pillowcases get faded before the duvet covers...I have piles of white pillowcases for 'unmatched' weeks...Horrockses' - they're lovely BUT I hear TKMAXX (near AnWsMum) calling me to come buy more bedding...
why oh why do I buy the certain clothes washing liquid that never shifts blood properly (because it was on offer you dimwit) instead of the one that WAS FULL PRICE but works...am now optimistically hoping the sun will bleach the last bit off...Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

EEK I do that as well! Never mentioned it to anyone before because I thought it was a bit, well, peculiar. But now at least I know Im not alone
[I have to have them by size too - two sizes of pegs for different weight clothes - at least, that's what I tell myself; so two pegs of same colour and same size for each item on the line (or three, etc)]
Done no flying today. Spent most of the morning on the phone, cancelling all my appointments for the next two weeks and getting ready to return to Sussex, as it appears my mother may not recover.

I'm trying to get on board with flylady, but finding it difficult to maintain the momentum... I have been decluttering for most of last year, a control journal and can usually stick to the cleaning for about a fortnight, and then suddenly I think, oh well, my house looks fine, it won't matter if I miss a day... and then suddenly it's back to [STRIKE]normal[/STRIKE] being completely messy...
Does anyone have any tips to sticking with it and not backsliding? How did you get past the idea of cleaning when it looks clean?!
Any tips gratefully received!0 -
Hello strangers!
Been AWOL for a bit, nothing sinister just busy busy.
House is a total tip, I have lost all motiviation for housework so here I am again
Most of the "stuff" is in the right place but I havent actually cleaned for weeks and the irning basket has gone crazy.
I think I might use the weekend for a bit of a blitz to get started - we've got no plans and hubby is around for the children - and then try for Level 1's from next week.
Hope everyone on here is doing ok, I'm looking forward to catching up on the gossip
