Hi everyone
I've been flying, but not on the living room, which I'm going to tackle tomorrow evening, with the help of DH and DD when I get back from work.
Honest.
I decided that - given that today was linen day (though I'm not officially on that list, but all the same - what a fab idea!) - I would go and sort out a couple of drawers in my bedroom and clean in there instead. We did the beds/turning the mattress at the weekend, so not a lot to do, really.
Sat down and started with the drawer I couldn't shut last week: my earrings, nick-nacks, photos, 'I-love-Mummy'-note, Valentine cards drawer of doom..., in my bedside table.
Threw out loads of old receipts, broken earrings etc; and then found a whole stash of things I'd forgotten: DD's little pink baby 'bracelets' from the hospital when she was new-born, the scans from when she was a little prawn at 12 weeks, the tiny plastic zip-lock with a few little blond curls from her first hair-cut..... Oh my.:o:o
So I had a long look, sitting on the floor with my back to the bed; and then packed them all away in a pretty box, and put it all safely in a different drawer.
I did finish the bedroom (which I'll claim another day), and my earrings are now all put away in the right boxes, in a drawer which will now open and shut. :T:T
Not sure whether the other one will now....:rotfl:
Hugs to all who want one
