They are the same thing now and based on posts here they seem to be retailing the same products (as in the awful Super ISA from Abbey now being in ex A&L branches).I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0

Just out of interest, why do you think the Super ISA is awful?
Because they cross subsidise the savings rate by using some of the commission from the investment product. The investment products Santander offer are awful. They are easily beaten or improved upon elsewhere. So, they give with one hand and take back with the other.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). God no. You have to feel sorry for the A&L & B&B customers going forward.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. FIIIIIIGHT..!!
They look like the same product - so it's 'flip a coin' time really.
I know somebody who wanted to open the Santander (flexible ISA) version at a branch... errrr, we can make you an appointment for next week - will take around 45 mins, so opened it online in 2 mins instead (ie in-branch opening looks like a hard-sell of other products, so stick with t'internet).0 -
A&L are part of Santander. A&L will offer the same products as Santander as the A&L name will disappear later this year when they are rebranded Santander. So the answer to your question is neither is better as they are the same product.
Oh, and can you please stop using 'txtspk'. There's no restriction to how long your posts can be so there's no need to abbreviate words.Did you really mean to put loose?
Lose: no longer possess, not to retain, unable to find
Loose: not firmly or tightly fixed in place0 -
