    guys this is a family member not me and she's not my mum :p My relation is I am the girlfriend of the lazy, good for nothing son that takes money off them every month!! lol (we've told them to stop but they refuse)

    As she's in her 40s I guess we don't have to worry about the state pension issue. Glad we can also ignore severe disability premium!!

    the £95 wont be increased in april

    Woodbine - are you sure about this?
    I recently received a news item from Contact A Family ( in my capacity as a volunteer for a childrens charity) for inclusion in our newsletter it quoted;

    Carer’s Allowance earnings limit to increase from April
    Carer’s Allowance is the only state benefit specifically aimed at carers. However in order to get Carer’s Allowance one of the rules is that your earnings must be no more than £95 per week. This earnings limit has been unchanged since October 2007. However from 6th April 2010 the government is to increase this figure to £100 per week.

    it would be very unusual for a large organisation such as Contact A Family to send out a news alert without checking the facts first - and I am now a bit concerned as I have included it in my next newsletter - but I do know that you are "well up" on benefits advice - so I am a bit worried now!

    I'd find a way of getting it back to them, if they wouldn't stop giving it. Treats, flowers, meals out etc ...

    yeah i've started making my bf put at least part of it away in savings each month (but this month he decided he wanted an xbox... i suppose he's not given in to that urge for 4 years...) but I dunno how we'll get it back to them yet...
