  • Good evening all

I really really need to join in with this - I usually start with good intentions but it rapidly wears off as I am usually shattered when I get in from work. :o

So I will start in the mornings as I dont start work until 9.30. I made good progress in the kitchen yesterday and to my shame I cleared out the larder and had to bin 4 carrier bags of out of date food. I will have to go fairly slowly as my thyroid is playing up and I have constant sciaticia.

My house is still full of Mum's stuff that has been here since last summer and I must must must start getting rid of this.

I will post how I get on.

I am in! I did lots of work in advance this morning on the ground floor so that I don't need to spend too long cleaning tomorrow which will free up time for this.

    Thanks Dusty.

I'm already eyeing up the paper stash...I also saw some Hallmark card files, concertina style in Home Bargains the other day. I'm thinking these'll be good for old, sentimental cards that we can't bear to get rid of...or something similar.

Can I suggest that you sort the stuff and put it to one side before going out and spending more... you might find you have stuff you can reuse as storage solutions by the time you've finished your declutter :D

    Hia,

Love the idea of different themes for different days. I've been doing the declutter thread here The Great Declutter 2010
And got rid of loads but still have a way to go. Will use this thread to help target different areas!

    I'm in please.

    Tomorrow i want to

List all my books on swap site
    Sort magazines upstairs & down
    Shredding
Go through note books & rip out pages that have been written on & are of no use
Sort through the pile of papers on my desk
    Deal with paperwork

I may not get all of that done but anything's a bonus.
  • I will join you Dusty - thanks for starting the thread - its an inspired idea to work on particular areas.
