There is a 400GB Freecom here for £120, but there is also a voucher available (in voucher/coupon section) that brings it down to £115 inc delivery.
That's the cheapest 400GB I can find.

Anyone advise for/against this drive before I spend?

I'd like one that does not require an AC adaptor; 80GB plus and cheap.0

3.5" HD (PC) External Hard Drives DO require external power
2.5" HD (Laptop) External Hard Drives DO NOT require external power.
One thing I have just bought is a 2.5" (3.5" are available) HDD Player from ebay, you simply stick your hard drive in and away you go, an external hard drive. Plus you can unplug it from your PC and plug it into your TV and watch your films straight onto your TV.
2.5" - £18.99 + P&P - This is the one I got.
3.5" - This one is probably better if you want alot of storage, Ebuyer have a 200gn HD for £45 delivered that you can put in it.
If you watch films/music and are constantly burning DVDs or watching on your PC then I would go for one of these, else just go for one listed above.
Also please be aware, just becuase it is an external HD, DOESNT mean it wont crash! All important data should be backed up to DVD/CD/Tape etc.0 -
ALso advise getting some sort of backup thing going.
I use Acronis Trueimage as I had used it in my full time job and comfortable with it.0 -
Damn, 2.5" laptop drives are expensive arent they
Looks like I'll need to find some other form of storage.0
