Mobile Unlocking Scams...

There seems to be a number of websites claiming phone unlocking. I tried this one:
http://www.unlockcodes2u.com/
All I got was an email telling me different options on how to unlock the phone. No acutal code. Total rip off. Was £5 odd.
If you do actually read the T&Cs of the site it does tell you that it is a report. That said, I think the site is deliberately misleading with its blue star saying "Unlock Your Phone Today".
They should put "No code provided only advice on how to unlock your phone" in the star.
I disputed the transaction with PayPal and was refunded the next day.

I opened a dispute on PayPal and also emailed the company directly telling them they were crooks and I wanted my money back. They actually refunded the money the next day of their own valition so PayPal cancelled the dispute.
If PayPal hadn't played ball I would have done a chargeback via the Building Society.
Paypal didn't help over a faulty item off Ebay last year. They told me I had to get an independent inspection report on an item costing £19.99.
The good old Coventry BS did a chargeback and I got my 19.99 forcibly taken back off PayPal. I laughed when it happened. PayPal are crooks too.
Also I think the mobile companies are crooks for locking the phones in the first place. A law should be passed banning this.0 -
Has anyone else been done by this shower?0
