    hi everyone
i am in the same boat after n.i.d taking his time to write one of his special letters (thankyou again) it has gone awol with another recorded letter  still showing in the net works but i suppose this will help my case when its comes to arguing the case of not recieving a default notice for half a months arrears on my argos account (£25.00)

Send it again special delivery if you can afford it - at the end of the day you have a good fight so don't play silly beggars at this stage.... :D:D

You're right though, the default will easily be removed. :p

    LOL
That makes me feel much better. I'm already using the process set up by NID. Its either this or bankruptcy for me now. I don't want to offend just wanted to make sure there is a glimmer of hope. My sister is always pessimistic anyway and makes sure she always delivers negative news.

  • NID, I have a default still on my old credit file for about £450, due to drop off August. 2011 It was for a mobile phone contract and was taken over by a debt collector.I would like to send a "Request for proof of default" letter but was wondering does that affect my 6 year sentence? Also if I made contact with the DCA does it trigger off some alert to other creditors lying dormant waiting to drop off? If that's likely, I will wait until after biggie drops off my file this Sept! Ideally I would prefer to get this default removed, even if I have to pay them a small sum for them to agree to do this. Thanks

Nah its best left well alone as it will classify as admitting the debt thus SB clock is reset.... with the above cases, unenforceability is entirely different to your sitting out game... :D

Yea but this is not the norm beenie - she's been given a default without being in arrears so really the fiver is well spent to prove she's delivered the letter... this is the start, compo will be forthcoming ..... :p:p

Keep receipts carol - remember that! ;)
