debt_obsessed wrote: »Morning,
Just a quick question - I sent a CCA request off last week (Monday) and they've come back demanding my signature etc. I've (today) sent off your template letter telling them i'm not going to sign. Do I now allow them another 14 days to provide me with the CCA or stick with the original timeline?
Hope that makes sense and thanking you in advance!
Did you read the letter, prior to posting it?I note that there is no provision that removes the requirements of the act to provide this information on time, even if you are unsure of my identity. As such, I look forward to receiving the documentation requested, within the next 14 days.
That means, the 14 days are still counting from the original s.78 request...2010 - year of the troll

Nope - you have proof of postage, hold fire a wee bit longer. Bear in mind you only see that it has been delivered once they update but the main thing is you have proof you sent it.
Leave it until about 4 weeks then send the reminder letter.
Did you post to Lovell Park (Leeds) or Cardiff....?
i posted it to leeds as this was the last correspondence i had off themalways smile no matter how broken you are.0 -
Hi Niddy,
Hope you had a great weekend mate, that out of office post seemed to do the trick, however everyone (including me) will be back posting again now you're back;):rotfl:
Hi matey - hope you had a good weekend? I did..... don't ask and I tell no lies
Right CrapQuest & Ha'pex - leave them alone as things stand.
Regards to RMA/AMEX etc - i'll do a reply now - come back in 5 mins and it'll be here waiting for you

A word of warning for Recorded Delivery via Royal Mail.
As my previous post on non delivery I received this reply in response to my complaint to Royal Mail.
'On the huge number of letters and packets we handle, very few encounter a problem along their way-but we take every single failure seriously so I am really sorry that you have had cause to contact us.
Letters and packets sent by Recorded Delivery travel with standard first class and second class post. this means we do not track or treat them differently from standard mail until they arrive at their destination address. It is here that we obtain a signature for the item which is then recorded as delivered.'
For our inconvenience to you we have compensated you with a book of six stamps.'
As far as I know my request for a CCA is still swanning around the postal system. A failure for a response request 'may' be caused by the problem I encountered. Please check at least daily on trace and track until you are satisfied.
ps.. the letter was sent first class...0 -

This is where I may have got a bit confused - my OC was American Express, but I get responses from RMA resolve, the footer says NCO Europe Ltd trading as RMA with an address Old Docks House, Watery Lane, Preston, PR2 1AU.
The official address is:
Old Docks House,
90 Watery Lane,
Preston,
England.
PR2 1AU
If it came from there then it is correct mate.....
NCO address is:
NCO Europe Ltd
PO box 175
Preston
Lancashire
PR2 1GN
But I understand that NCO bought RMA...... may be wrong but can't find much about it!2010 - year of the troll

You can't leave me in suspense like that, PM on its way!!
Either you've just had a mad weekend involving a lady called stella or you're bluffing and it involved you singing for 2 days solid at your local church choir for charity :rotfl:
gonna look at them links no mate - cheers0 -
The request was sent first class 'Recorded Signed For Service' which costs 75p plus the cost of the postage. This service does not guarantee next day delivery but I do expect it to get there at least within a couple of days.
I believe if you next service i.e. guaranteed next day delivery it costs £4.95 plus. This can be very costly it you have a lot of proof of postage requirements0 -

On the letter heads they send, underneath the RMA Resolve logo it has address you have above as NCO Europe Ltd.
On the footer, it has NCO Europe Ltd with the address you have as the official address - I have sent all my letters to the official one. Recorded obviously0
