I can't believe you have a DS sans Zelda. They are the reason I have the damn thing.
You do realise you can buy a gizmo and d/load games for free?
Having said that, I have bought every Zelda game. I do think quality should be rewarded.Retail is the only therapy that works0 -
I like problem Brain Training and puzzle games best, though my favourite game ever is Elite. I spent hours on that. May give Zelda a try though. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? If you like puzzle games you will love Zelda.
It is a huge logic problem with pretty graphics and the odd monster to defeat.
You ever tried adventure games?Retail is the only therapy that works0 -
I have tried the odd adventure game, but what I really like is working out permutations rather than moving joysticks around or shooting things (though I love Wii games for totally different reasons - they are great in a big group). I now sound an even bigger nerd! I do problem solvers and puzzle games....usually on the PC thought.
My console history is:
Original Game Boy (played a few times and then sold it).
Ex Hubbies console history:
Sega Megadrive
Sega 32x
Sega Saturn
Sega Dreamcast
Somewhere in there was also a Sega Game Gear
XBox (original)
Then we divorced....he now has an XBox 360 something or other, a PS3 (or has access to one).
The boys have had :
Original Game Boy
Game Boy Advance
Game Boy SP
None of the above brand new.
They now have
DS original (was hubbies, I bought it for him for a xmas or birthday pressie but he gave it to middle son as a joint birthday present when we split and our money was tied up)
Two DS lites (ex hubby got one for eldest as a pressie, I got the other for youngest at a real knock down price)
Xbox 360 Elite (eldest saved all his pocket money and birthday money to buy it himself)
Nintendo Wii (middle one did the same as eldest)
PSP (eldest got this himself from the money for oddjobs etc for neighbours)
The boys have used Game and Games Station but they have found better deals at a local computer games shop who give more for second hand games and their prices for reselling are also reasonable...so reasonable that most early teenagers can afford to buy a game from pocket money. Since one opened in this town, we haven't bothered with Game or Games station at all because they buy cheap but sell on quite expensive. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

No, shooting things isn't adventure games. They may label them that way but trust me that is just laziness
The original adventure game was Colossal Cave which was created in the seventies.

After that came Infocom and Zork

Everything since then has just been a variation on a theme. Puters have gotten better, we now do point and click.
Try any of the Zelda games, you will love themRetail is the only therapy that works0 -
Consolidation more likely; as the article says, they own Gamestation too, so where there are stores even under the seperate brands co-located nearby then it makes sense to remove some to cut costs.
Hope they don't close the local Game here... it stinks in Gamestation :rotfl:
Concidently (perhaps) both of my local gamestation branches smell of BO.. its disgusting!0 -
In bullet form as making dinner.

I'm sure the workers in Game are lovely, I'm half-joking. Although a lot of them do seem to live up to the sterotype you imagine them to be.
So there.0
