Am off to Bristol Mum working at Portishead four days a week then hot foots it back to sunny suffolk for the weekends... We're going to Drewsteignton in Devon for our holidays, with DansDad and the Longsuffering Dog (whos not the best traveller) in our caravan...
Cheap n cheerful we spend a lot of our time exploring the moors as those who know, know Suffolk is as flat as the preverbial ...
Back on the bikeHad an oilchange the other day so want to make sure it doesnt leak before I head westward ho!
Have to help clear my Nans house this weekend as its up for sale now to pay for her homeplace.... What is the motivation to have a MF home and retirement plan when if you need care you have to sell everything? She was a nurse for 55 years worked til she was 76 and wanted to leave everything to her daughters, but her illness has put paid to that.
I plan to pay it all off, get to 55/60 sell it and spend it. I'll have no children to leave it to, or other close (younger) relatives so may as well enjoy it while I can then if I go doolally then they can park me in a dark corner of a home somewhere and I can poke at people with my stickSorry rant over x

Hi Dansmum - hope all goes well this weekend clearing your Nan's house. As you say, it's crackers we have a system that penalizes people who work hard and put by when they're older. Hopefully she's happy in her new home? QB0

Thanks QB appreciate it xxxxx
Well Am downloading onto this newfangled mp3 thingy (whatever was wrong with the old fashioned Sony Walkman cassette player?? Amazing. Have shedloads of tunes including all of War of the Worlds and theres still more room than my entire collection will fit on! I just need something to take the edge off the M4!!! Hoping to be in Westcountryland by about 230 - 3pm tomorrow afternoon (have packed passport to get out of suffolk) Am staying another day now coming back Thursday and will come back via stonehenge
So I doubt very much that I'll be doing any kind of Moneysaving whatsoever, although the bike is not going to cost a lot to get there and back I think the car would have been about £100!!! Just needing a break...
DansDad is looking after everything for me work, dog, cats and horses! Although I have to get feeds etc ready tomorrow morning. He's gotta get up early to get his instructions!!! Have been to Sainsbergs today to buy him some meals as I know what he's like - he'll live on toast when I'm not there..... Men!MFW 2011 No. 161 £946.54/£2000 TargetApril 9/15March 14/15
