Well - DansDad and me have been looking and we quite fancy a small b&b/touring van site in Woolacombe which also does cream teas..... The problem is the price tag at £650k! It needs freshening up as its back to the 70's inside although it has massive potential... The fun bit is doing the business plan and getting the finance before we go proper shopping!MFW 2011 No. 161 £946.54/£2000 TargetApril 9/15

Come down one and all!!!!!!!!
Have had a small chat with the money people and I'm not going to have enough deposit grrrr.... So we'll start again ..... DansDad really disappointed, but secretly relieved as am I as the £4k a month mortgage payments in January may be a littel hard to come by!!! I did suggest to him that he rent somewhere down there and keep my house on and rent it out and be normal and get jobs.... Will have to keep working on him, but we are definately going one way or the otherMFW 2011 No. 161 £946.54/£2000 TargetApril 9/15March 14/15

Well managed another OP today - only a tiddly one @ £37.14 just to tidy the numbers up.... Thats £2500 off in 6 months 2 weeks.... Not bad considering how long it took me to get my a**e in gear
Poor old Long Suffering Dawg has a tick  I have never had any tick problem before and van only assume he got it when we were mooching around the wilds of Dartmoor with all those wild sheep and ponies.. Any advice as to how to get rid? I was tempted to pull it out with tweezers this morning, but have heard can leave its head in... Yeuuuch its given me the screaming habdabs! Edit: So much so that I've called the vets and they're going to pop it out later today... Poor little mite!
Given Willie a jolly good clean inside and vacuum courtesy of Mr S petrol station this morning. Never know my carpets were quite so nice! They're usually hidden under layers of horse/dog hair/hay/mud.... So he's nearly ready to put on th'ebay, freeads, autotrader. Got the settlement figure yesterday £3800 just under so if I can get £4000 - £4500 for him I'll be happy. Although sorry to see him go but too nice a car to keep running down to the yard, so need ancient tractor like car!MFW 2011 No. 161 £946.54/£2000 TargetApril 9/15March 14/15

Crickey it gave me the heebie jeebies
Lovely day - although still feeling particularly rotten as my lergy seems to be on the return instead of pushing off onto someone elseMum is going to take over from me at 2 ish tomorrow so can go home and have a sleep..... Shes had some excitement at her work as someone on the 6th floor set fire to an office (shes on the 8th) so has an impromptu day off, although her bag and car keys are stuck in the building....

We've had ticks in both of our cats before. You can do it yourself with tweezers if you can get a good hold on them, but i am too squeamish to do it and make DH. They are horrid looking things aren't they, but at least they numb the animal they are feeding on so you can get it out a bit more pain free.
Well done on all the overpayments in 6 months. That is pretty good progress and you still have lots of fun too. Best way of doing it if you ask me. :beer:0 -
Cha97michelle - me too couldnt do it... DansDad equally as useless at tick removal... Horrible things. DansDad keeps taking the mick out of poor old Long Suffering Dawg and says he's not running like clockwork as he only goes tock now...... Groan! :rotfl:
SmlSave Just popped into your diary and see you've been terribly poorly. *stops moaning!!! Chest infections are a killer so I sympathise xxx
It was an electrical thingy apparently this fire. Everyone else was let back in at 12pm, but Mum was a rebel and took the day off!
I was late to the boys last night and boy was I unpopular. Giff was practically hanging over the gate tapping his fetlocks (wrists, well sortof) in frustration. When I had to stop the tea trolley to turn the water on he almost went apopleptic!! It really is quite funny watching a very arthritic big horse turning himself inside out trying to buck, plunge and fart his way around his field because he's a bit cross!!MFW 2011 No. 161 £946.54/£2000 TargetApril 9/15March 14/15
