Vodafone business a joke!

I've just switched to Vodafone business and my SIM is still not registered. It seems that business at Vodafone only happens Monday to Friday - welcome to the brave new world of technology! After several calls to Customer Service where I was either misdirected or diverted to wrong teams I was told after being on hold for 30 minutes to Vodafone Business that the relevant team does not work over the weekend!!! I have now been without my business phone for the first 2 days of my Vodafone contract and have been told that nothing can be done to help me for a further 48 hours (Monday morning). This may seem a small problem to some and especially vodafone however I'm extremely angry that this is the start to a 2 year contract - FANTASTICALLY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!!

It can take roughly 2 to 3 working days to port numbers. I think its norm for all networks to be honest. Presumably the people in charge of their systems are not paid to work weekends.

If it is just a sim reg issue the network support teams do work weekend (although a skeleton staff), they should be able to see what's gone wrong on the server and fix it.

If it is a port issue than yes, it's working days only (and always has been). The network open their servers to each other do do it and it's always been only when their fully staffed...
  • Helpful if this had been mentioned originally but Vodafone said it would be within 24 hours. Crazy to think that a Mobile Communications giant should be able to act faster - It would be bad enough if I had switched and was cheesed off I couldn't text my mates - but this is supposed to be a business service!! Unfortunately I don't get weekends off and my business line now helpfully has a default Vodafone answer message which I can't accesss or alter which is a very professional image - Thanks again Vodafone.
