The M&S site crashes when it's under any pressure, and they clearly don't feel there's any need to sort it.
A tip from the last sale: if you can get the product code from the site, but can't then proceed with ordering it, write it down and phone them. I got a couple of things this way last time, and they were OK with it after I said I would be really disappointed if what I wanted sold out just because their IT dept can't get its act together. I may have been more polite than that.

Hi Haven't been online yet but I have been to our local store this morning. I arrived at 9.05 and there were already people coming out with bags full. The ladies was very good, lots at half price, but the mens was useless in our store. Surfice to say I got lots for me and nothing for my OH

I've been over at lunchtime. Managed to get some linen trousers, lime three quarter sleeved top and 2 bra's for £35 - really reasonable I thought
It's nice to be nutty but's more important to be nice

I went to have a look at the Manchester M&S today and there was quite a lot of bras in the sale, and various bits of ladieswear. Loads of bras at £7 and £9. Some at £5.
Some trousers reduced from £39 to £19.

I asked one of my managers today and there will be further reductions in just over a week and a half but they plan to ship stock that is left over to the Outlet store so that they can start the Autumn range in stores without the clutter that sale brings.

Loads of people in store as well, they reckon most of the stock they have will be gone by Sat.

I guess it depends on your local store how good the sale is.

I have never bought anything online from M&S as staff don't get discount with online purchases so most of us don't bother. So almost ironic that my thread has been merged with one of online!:D

1,000 Posts Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
    Just spent £145:eek:

Was going to take my time to have a proper look round, but was panicking in case the site crashed or more of my items became 'unavailable' yet again :(

Hi, does anyone know if I can return a skirt bought last week ,which is now less than half price, & buy it straight back please?

I didn't think you could do this but a friend of mine says she did it once without any problem.

If you have the reciept then there should not be any problem taking it back? Then all you need to do is buy it again at half price.

I would buy it first then take the old one back afterwards!
    :)
