I liked the zoo much more than the aquarium (although i appreciate that the zoo will cost extra as not a merlin attraction.) The zoo is quite small compared to some others in the country, but has improved ALOT over the last few years.
I actually ran out of the dungeons a couple of years ago (was 27 at the time!) so personally would think carefully about that. (though i am a huge wimp over scary things like that.)
Tussauds i also loved (purely for the silly photo opportunitys), but it was incredibly busy and stressful.
The london eye is also well worth doing in my opinion.0 -
you might also want to check out the sciene museum and history museum. There's lots there for the kids, all at the bargain price of zero pence!:-)

You're referring to the Tate Modern which is free except for exhibitions. Nice views of St Pauls, but not quite sure the art would appeal to kids. It's next to the Globe which has an interesting exhibition with child-friendly displays and offers theatre tours. There's a Pizza Express across the street and the Golden Hinde, Clink and Southwark Cathedral are nearby (as is Vinopolis, if needed!). It's a nice 10 minute walk along the Thames from the London Dungeon.
Speaking of walking, London Walks might interest you -- walks.com is their website. Adults are 7 pounds but kids under 15 are free. The ghost walks are very entertaining and offer something different to do after the shops and museums have closed.0 -

You are talking about Funland in Picadilly http://www.funland.co.uk . The Trocadero has really gone downhill in recent years; tacky market stalls and mice etc. There is something similar by the Eye but it doesn 't have bowling.
London Zoo is a nice day out, especially as it's in Primrose Hill which is gorgeous when the weather is good. It's not worth full price though http://www.daysoutguide.co.uk/zsl-london-zoo
It is nicer than the Aquarium though. Honestly, most of these attractions are overpriced. There's so many better things to do that are free such as the museums. Thanks MSE!!0 -
London Zoo is not very large in area but it will occupy a day. I have been going there annually for over 20 year with my family who still like to go although adult. There are plenty of animals to see and also regular feeding times. There is an aquarium which although housed in an old building is extensive. (I think some of the old buildings are listed so they cannot be replaced). The komodo dragons are impressive and you can walk through the monkey enclosure. Take your own picnic - there are lots of places to sit and eat. The website is http://www.zsl.org/ and you will be able to look at a map of the zoo and its features.0

I think London Zoo is a must when visiting London with Children and with their fabulous new Rainforest Experience http://www.zsl.org/zsl-london-zoo/news/londons-only-living-rainforest-launches-this-saturday,695,NS.html
It has only just opened and is great. There are also loads of other exhibits and I personally am very interested in all the conservation side of their activities. There is also a wonderful animal adventure park for the kids.... a great day out for all the family.
Have a great time.0 -
