When setting up DD, the script thats read out informs customers a letter will be sent to them about there cl it also asks if they would like it read out there and then , same thing with the direct debit guarante.

A payment plan can be set up over three months .

A fair do's... worked for me in the past, but still.

Guys, Virgin Mobile couldn't care less if you cancel other Virgin services so think carefully before you cut off your nose to spite your face. They are separate companies, just the same brand name.

Can l suggest that if you dealt with them over the phone when taking up the Direct Debit, request that review the call (as they are recorded). This l feel we should do more often. I was successful with regard to an insurance issue when l challenged them as the recording proved l was not told about an issue

Gaby - before you cancel Virgin, you might like to read some other threads in which posters have found bills well in excess of £95. One poor guy had over £1000 on Data use.

I am not aware of any network on contract other than one that T-mobile did - they may still do it - which was a bit of a hybrid.

At least with Virgin - which I have never used by the way - it seems that they have an automatic cut off at £150 thereby limiting your potential liability if someone steals your phone and runs up big bills.
