I have been running a similar company with a very similar name for the last 6 years, and during the last year I have had at least half a dozen parents contacting me because Katie hasn't arrived at their party and hasn't even given any warning.

I'm not in the habit of wishing misfortune on people, but I'm really hoping Katie gets shut down soon. Can you imagine a little girl inviting all her friends over, thinking she is going to have the most amazing party, and then she actually has no party at all? The little girls are my motivation to do the best job I can. I have a daughter myself and I'd hate for her to go through the humiliation some of the girls Katie has let down have suffered.

As for the age appropriate question, I can't say what Katie does, but everything we do is aimed at kids, even parents who have been dubious about what to expect (not the ones who have booked it, the friends parents) are surprised that it's subtle and sparkly and not too old for the girls It gives them a confidence boost. If we didn't do it they'd probably raid their mums makeup and have a go themselves, my daughter does!!

well, according to a previous little divaz uk "About Us" page:

"The idea behind little divaz uk actually came from T.V. presenters, newspaper articles & the general media hype surrounding celebrities & size zero models!"

i'm not sure what they're trying to say there, but it seems an odd thing to say, to me.

the phrase has since been removed, but you can see the traces of it here.
    (no. 2 in the list).

Seems to me like Jill has given up on defending this company, but then again how do you defend letting down children.

    hehe

You know, I've just been flicking through the gallery on that site and I have to say the makeup on these young girls is horrific. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind kids dabbling in a bit of "mum like" beauty parties but at least teach them that less is more. Show them techniques for applying makeup not slap on everything in the beauty box.

The girl with the blue eyes in the makeover party section is especially scary!!

but don't forget that Little Divaz UK appears to have been taken over by Girls Pamper Parties.

    that's http://www.girlspamperparties.com/

    "Girls Pamper Party Staff
    January 24, 2010

Little Divaz UK was sold to us in January 2010 for a huge sum to enable them to pay off their staff training, offiices and lock up debts. We have also brought the Little Divaz UK commericial premises."
