Hmm this seems really amazing that Katie did YOUR specific party, when in the website write up it CLEARLY STATES "Katie now takes a back seat approach to the business adding input to stock, party themes and training of new staff."
What a wonderful experience for you to have your little ones party done by the boss instead of the staff!!!
    sniff sniff anyone smell anything!!!

If you booked and paid for a flight with BA then arrived at the desk and there was no booking for you, would you blame BA or request a refund from Jane Doe who took your payment!!! Get real, Little Divaz let the little girl down, it's the companies name that gets tarnished because of the staff, they have to deal with it, thats life!!! good will is what will carry a business far, and yes your correct, I and I'm sure most who read this will NOT take a chance with Little Divaz, but thats what happens when a dis-service has been done, Katie reaps the good and bad in business, thats what happens when you have unreliable staff, the only way you can make sure of no problems is to run the business small by yourself.

Well katies not stupid, a lot of good customers will be notified about this little forum i suspect but i asked katie if she could send me some sites were i could leave reviews and this forum is actually one of them. I doubt i would have booked reading this but im really glad i did.

I shall call katie and see if she will join up as i'm sure she has her side of the story also.

Fact is Jill whatever Katie did is neither here nor there, its the follow up that matters.

If i was in the childs party business and i let down a child on there birthday i would move heaven and earth to let that child know how sorry i was and i would overcompensate them there fee for hiring the services of my company. The children are the bread and butter of the business, they are the ones who will go into the school and advertise your business for you.

What she did was unforgivable, she let down a seven year old child and her friends, and then is debating over a refund and whats even worse!!!

Me and Lahey actually agree over something, good grief what is the world coming to.....;)

no i dont work for them just think its a shame that people who didnt get a party from them for any reason should know that they are actually really good at what they do.

katie told us at the party she had some difficult parents, late cancellations and other problems etc but its only to be expected in business.

We've had businesses for years and its not easy especially at 20. If shes told you your getting a refund you should wait for your refund not brand her and try to ruin what i think is a great idea!

When you see Katie next, I'd advise her that sla gging off her customers is not good customer services..

This is a contradiction in terms. If there is one service where it is a massive no no to let the customer down,it is a childs party.

I am sure this may be a great idea,in theory, but whether it is a workable business is another thing entirely.

Having run a business myself,I know only too well that offering to take products or services to a customer, seems like a good way to get business, but is often not viable in terms of time and profit, and manpower.

As for late cancellations, taking a large non refundable deposit would fix that BUT I see from the bad reviews that the owner takes £15 per child in addition
on arrival.Cash? Ahem.. You can't have your (birthday) cake, and eat it.

I am sure some parents are difficult, but then someone also said "never work with children or animals" for a reason.

Had a look at the website and feel slightly worried that there doesn't seem to be any sort of "commendation" or "registration" about being cleared or "checked" to work with (in some cases) very young girls, what's more disconcerting is the fact that the website then displays photos of young girls who've had their makeup done...

I'm not a fuddy-duddy or overly PC, but I would have thought in this business, one of the things you "proclaim" to your prospective customers would be that you carry appropriate insurance AND have some sort of CRB check.

I see they even offer franchises....so for £25 a week .....anyone can sign up to run these parties ?????

Like I say, I don't see it on the web site, if it is hidden away OR I've misread something, I'm sure the owner will soon make it more visible AND possibly come on here to keep everyone right, perhaps the "employee" who has posted on the thread can mention it...

no-one wants to take any chances with their little princesses...I know I don't...and mine's 24 now AND I still try and look out for her!

If I've got the details of the firm wrong...I'm sure someone will post on here and correct me.

blimey...as I read and look through the web site I'm becoming more and more concerned...

new management takeover 2010....payment on the day ONLY in cash...and loads of other anomalies throughout the site.....

unfortunately on the www you can build a site thats leads people to believe you run a successful business empire from fantastic new business premises....when in fact you're 17 and run it from your bedroom....I'm not trying to knock the entrepreneurial skills of some of the great young people this country has to offer....but most have more convincing websites ... not like this one....and as for cash only....what no bank account or paper trail?

    right...I'm really confused now....

"Customers must leave a deposit of 50% of the cost of their party upon booking.

The remaining 50% is due on the day of the party in
    CASH ONLY

If the remainder of the party cost is not payed 7 days prior to the party taking place your party booking will be cancelled and no refunds will be given."

right...I'm really confused now....pay on the day of party is ok, but if you don't pay 7 days in advance it's cancelled?

Oh dear, I think I can see a lot of copyright problems on the site as well.... I wonder what their insurance is like....no mention of it either....

    I'm now a retired teacher... hooray ...:j

I actually had a spa party from this company on sunday and i must say it was rather outstanding. Katie was a really nice lady and she arrived shockingly early but it was no wonder when i saw how much they had to set up. We had spa robes, foot spas, face masks, cucumbers, non alcoholic champagne and girls has manicure, pedicures and french polishes. There were 15 girls all together and everyone had everything done to a great standard in just under 3 hours. For professional treatments, pink decorations and balloons on 15 girls the price was really good. I would definately recommend them, they were fantastic.

I've had a bad experience in the past with a company called flutterbys but little divaz uk were great.

I live in surrey and theyd just done a party in luton and came afterwards to do ours and its was from 8pm onwards. the poor girls had to travel back home to birmingham at that time and she didnt mind at all.

i have nothing bad to say about this company and i hope they go a long way

sorry to disappoint the people trying to bring the company down.

    Unprofessional to run down competitors.
  • This is a really bad company who lets little children down at the last minuite. I have been told about this site by my friend, please listen to the lady who posted the warning! All she is trying to do is warn parents out there. Whats happened to letting everybody know the truth. !!!!!
