Shame about the green leaves, been in the warm shop too long, they should still be dormant twigs

However too late now, they need to be outside in ground ASAP, do you have any garden fleece or the like you can put over them?

    Really? I find it great!

They dont look after their stock - reduce everything, then all it needs is a bit of TLC and i get really cheap plants!!

Plant them out now if it's not frosty and take a chance. See you're located in Germany so not sure what the weather is like over there. Gooseberry plants are normally pretty hardy. If they're only small plants and you're worried about a severe and prolonged drop in temperature, you can try covering them over with a large plastic pot weighed down with a brick to stop the wind blow them over for a week or so but remove the pot on good days so the plant can get some light.

You could pot them up and them keep them somewhere cold rather than freezing, or put them outside when it is not freezing and drag them indoors when frost is due. Do that for a few weeks, themn plant them in the ground?
