It looks like LloydsTSB will be increasing the monthly fee on the Premier current account from £15 to £25 and including two new benefits identity fraud insurance, and homecare insurance.. The fee waiver moves from £5000 to £7500.
Is this good value or is this time to abandon Lloyds?

why do you have to pay a fee for the account in the first place?0

LloydsTSB charge for accounts with "extras" - my platinum account gives me travel insurance, AA recovery, etc. I can never work out whether it's really worth it.£2 coin savers club: £1.49

richardmk - how did you hear about this? http://www.lloydstsb.com/current_accounts/premier_banking_servicing.asp still says £15. Did they write & tell you?0

I thought Premier was being cancelled0

I have the platinum account too and think it is definately worth the £15 a month - The whole family has travel insurance ( 2 adults 2 children) thats normally about £100 a year - The aa breakdown cover is worth about £80 - mobile phone insurance about £50 - definately worth it in my eyes.0

The details of the changes were given by the Premier Banking Centre who advised a letter was being sent to all Premier Banking Customers this month0

I think I'll have to look at what the diferences between the Platinum & Premier are, unless they're planning on increasing that too? I think £15 is good value for the benefits, but don't think the new features are worth £10 more.0

Are you still getting your children covered for free? Lloyds changed their travel insurers this year and advised all Plat customers that it would only be for account holder and spouse in future - children would be added at a fee at account holder request. Can't remember the date change though!Back on the DFW Wagon:
CC - £3,300 on 0% til 04/2020
CC - £4,500 on 0% til 02/2019
Loan - £12,063.84 as at 4/1/180 -
Mine are covered by the policy. I phoned them up to make sure.0
