Options
Hiya,
Does anyone do this as a small biz? I`d like to know more about it.
Many thanks

I don't but I'd really like someone to clean my bin for me on a regular basis. My parents have had it for 15 years (at least) not sure how much it is now but is used to be £1 a time and took seconds...
  • Easy to clean your own, takes less than 10 minutes to do

I never understand why people pay. You bag things up and every couple of week chuck some warm water in the wheelie bin followed by some disinfectant (50p a bottle of cheap stuff, will do bin about 10 times) and clean with a large soft brush, easy.

Why pay £2-£3 when you can do it for less than 50p

    Convenience?

I'd be happy to pay someone a quid or 2 (if a dirty wheely bin really bothered me!) rather than get all the buckets out, get the brush out, sort out the water, get cleaning clothes on, dry it all, leave the bin empty etc etc etc...
Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?
  • One bucket, one brush no need for cleaning clothes hardly hard work . I guess some people happy to pay it

I'm more than happy to pay. I'm small too so it is difficult for me to clean it! It is small price to pay for a nice smelling bin in the summer months... Once a month I would do it

There have beena couple of threads about doing this as a business over the past few months. It would be well worth while doing search using the search box at the top right hand side of the screen
When dealing with the CSA its important to note that it is commonly accepted as unfit for purpose, and by default this also means the staff are unfit for purpose.

my sister pays to get her cleaned they always leave a extra large black bag in it to make it easier to clean the next time she seems very impressed with it. Not seen anyone doing it where i am. I would think in these times though getting enough people interested to make it viable would be very hard. I will check with her tomorrow see how much she is charged and how often it gets cleaned.

You could say the same about paying for housecleaning, ironing etc, some people will pay some wont.

No comparison, wheelie bin clean once a fortnight 10 minutes, housecleaning couple of hours a week, ironing another good hour or two

Nearest comparison maybe cleaning windows but then you got 1st floor windows too

Still its peoples choice just think its a waste of money

I think buisness you set up wont be cheap, you need a large transit van, and all the gear plus water to carry, could be a couple of K on cheap, then you have all advertising costs plus you might have competition and need to be on routes just after dust cart
