Be careful they send the statements every 28 days and sometimes you can get two statements in one month.

They made a big mistake on my account and it was nightmare sorting it out so I closed my account.
  • The question is... do you NEED more than a £200 credit limit with Littlewoods? If so, consider whether, if you can't buy the items cash (or card), whether you can afford them.

It is good for building credit I guess, but also you get 20 weeks interest free which is good for cash flow!

I think it depends how much the item is and how much you spend.

When I applied, they gave me a £800 credit limit (very good credit history). This went up to just over £1000 after 3 months.

Littlewoods are not bad especially as you can pay over 20 or 52 weeks interest free. If you shop around, the majority of their products are often more expensive, however, I tend to buy products that are heavily reduced from littlewoods, that way with interest free terms its a great benefit. I do know someone who has had a bad experience with them, they really mucked up on something and they too cancelled their account with them. I have had no problems with them at all though.

so I should get an increase after three months? what do you think it will go up to?
  • I started with an £800 limit, then £1000, now £1300, in just over a year.

If you use the account regularly and pay more than the minimum payment then it will increase. Was given £600 to start with few months ago and now it is over £2000, which I will never use....
