Sounds lovely! Any green leafy veg will do. Some of that Sweetheart cabbage would be top-notch but any other cabbage would be fine. If I'm using cabbage in a stir-fry I generally snip off the thick veins at the base of the leaves as they take a bit longer to cook and might be half-raw in a stir-fry0

I read this board for tips all the time but don't usually post but i thought i'd ask you lovely people this.
For dinner tonight i was planning to make diced pork with onion and mushroom in a white wine and cream sauce served with potato Rosti's.
Trouble is i've just got back from the shop and realised i forgot to buy any cream! So could anyone suggest a recipe to make a 'creamy' style sauce for the above but without using cream or creme freche. I've got plenty of milk and butter, i just really can't face going all the way back to the shop!
Thanks0 -
COuld you make a cheese sauce instead? Or just use a ruex base with a lot of flavouring? I'm not entirely sure that'd work as I always use cream too but I'm sure someone with more idea will along soon...June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

You could cook the pork, mushrooms and onions with a white sauce, substituting some of the milk for the sauce with white wine. I make this myself with chicken rather than pork and it's lovely - it tastes very indulgent without being either expensive or particularly unhealthy.Back after a very long break!0

You could cook as normal then at the end add some low fat cream cheese and a splash of milk if you have itRemember every waking moment is a chance to turn it all around.;) Knowledge is the key to respect.

Hi, I was going to suggest cream cheese, but also condensed soup usually I use chicken or mushroom, makes a great sauce watered down. I always make my sauce for lasagne using this:DStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.
