how do i delete google history/cookies etc??

If you type a single letter in the search box it should come up with suggestions as to what you may be looking for - at the bottom of the drop down menue there should be an option to clear history.

hi - when i do that there is no 'clear history' tab??? just has the red cross to delete it - do i need to delete all of them individually??? don't understand.......

I had the same problem and i googled it and this is the answer i got and it worked for me
Google Toolbar search history

To clear your Google Toolbar search history, click the drop-down arrow on the Toolbar search box, and click Clear History.
Tip: If you don't see Clear History at the bottom of the drop-down, type a single letter into the search box to view the Clear History link.

hi i've done that but can't see 'clear history' anywhere???? help!!!!!!

Have you got the latest google toolbar?

If you bring up the OPTIONS menu then untick 'save search history'

It is on the google tool bar - can you see auto fill etc - you are looking a blue spanner. If you can't see it try right clicking on an empty space place past the google search and see if you can get the options that way.

when you tried my earlier suggestion did you make sure the letter you put in the search box was a letter you would have used before eg say one of your searches was sky news then put in s that should bring up suggestions with the clear history at the bottom

Ahhh this is not THE google toolbar , me thinks that this is the IE search bar at the right of the address bar (the red X gives it away I think). I don't use IE much but I will have a look at this in a while.
