    Hello All HShungry.gif

The week has flown hasn't it! I have been mega busy doing my college course and thoroughly enjoying it too. I was ever thankful for the meal plan as I didn't have to spend any time at all thinking about meals :T Hope that everyone else has had a good week & thanks for the words of encouragement last week when I got all wobbly :A

    We are having:

Monday - Beans & Poached Eggs on Toast

Tuesday - Chicken Sweet & Sour with Onion & Pea Rice

    Wednesday - Spaghetti Bolognaise

    Thursday - Cowboy Sausage Casserole

Friday - Baked Potatoes with Beans/Cheese/Tuna/PenPin's Coleslaw tiphat.gif

Saturday - Quiche, Carrot, Peanut & Sultana Salad followed by Ice Cream and Fruit

Sunday Lunch - Braised Chicken Breasts, Roast Potatoes, Carrots, Cauliflower, Yorkshire Puddings & Gravy

Sunday Tea - Oatcakes with Hummus and leftover Carrot Salad, Fruit

I'll be making a couple of Weetabix cakes and some Banana & Almond Muffins to use up a glut that I seem to have accumulated :rotfl:

After my worries last week that the children would go mad and gorge on unhealthy things all week I am pleased to report that they didn't :o In fact they seem to have eaten less strangely enough? Having said that DS1 and DS2 managed 9 Yorkshire Puds each last Sunday boggled.gif

Have a good week everyone & happy cooking flipcake.gif

  • Hi guys,

    Can I join in please???

I saw this thread last week and I got lots of ideas from everyone. Plus, it'll help me feel a bit more organised, instead of going to work every day wondering what we can have that night...

So (sorry if it's not as well-planned as your lists!) this week we're going for:
    - Lamb steaks with mash & frozen veg of some sort
    - Chicken pieces slow cooked with anchovies & ... rice? ...potatoes?
    - Chilli
    - Quorn pieces stirfry

Only 4 days as away for the weekend. (I will get better at meal planning...)

    Hello all,

I agree that the weeks are flying by. Feels like I only posted on last week's thread yesterday.

For the week ahead, we are having:

    Sunday - Roast chicken
    Monday - Chicken Napolitana
    Tuesday - Spaghetti Bolognese
Wednesday - Chicken Breasts in Coursegrain Mustard Sauce (dad's birthday so cooking for all the family - wish me luck!)
    Thursday - Lamb Rogan Josh
    Friday - Butternut Squash Risotto
Saturday - Marinated Rump Steak with Mash
    Sunday - Fish Pie

Lunches are salads (chicken/tuna/prawn) and soup - going to try Tomato & Rice soup this week.

    Welcome La escocesa wave.gif
  • Hi can i join in please. i usually read the meal plan thread and think its a good idea just never get arround to it (or stick to it)

    ok here goes.

breakfast, no one eats it but theres toast/cerial and yogurt for if they do.

lunches, usually sandwiches or soup (from a tin i have severe freezer space problems)

    dinners:
    sat- stovies.
sun- sausage caserole (or with mash dependent on the kids pickiness)
mon- bbq ribsteaks that have been in the freezer since the beginning of time with mash &veg
tue- pasta with smoked sausage (or the remains of cold meat in the frige)
    wed- sandwich steak with chips
    thur- stew and dumplings
    fri- meatballs.

i guess i need to work on meal planning, i dont know how so little managed to cost so much.

baking: scones, twinks, 2 loaves bread (dependant on my wrist) plus various biscuits etc for the kids home economics (home educated so make something daily)
