Hello All
The week has flown hasn't it! I have been mega busy doing my college course and thoroughly enjoying it too. I was ever thankful for the meal plan as I didn't have to spend any time at all thinking about meals :T Hope that everyone else has had a good week & thanks for the words of encouragement last week when I got all wobbly :A
We are having:
Monday - Beans & Poached Eggs on Toast
Tuesday - Chicken Sweet & Sour with Onion & Pea Rice
Wednesday - Spaghetti Bolognaise
Thursday - Cowboy Sausage Casserole
Friday - Baked Potatoes with Beans/Cheese/Tuna/PenPin's Coleslaw
Saturday - Quiche, Carrot, Peanut & Sultana Salad followed by Ice Cream and Fruit
Sunday Lunch - Braised Chicken Breasts, Roast Potatoes, Carrots, Cauliflower, Yorkshire Puddings & Gravy
Sunday Tea - Oatcakes with Hummus and leftover Carrot Salad, Fruit
I'll be making a couple of Weetabix cakes and some Banana & Almond Muffins to use up a glut that I seem to have accumulated :rotfl:
After my worries last week that the children would go mad and gorge on unhealthy things all week I am pleased to report that they didn'tIn fact they seem to have eaten less strangely enough? Having said that DS1 and DS2 managed 9 Yorkshire Puds each last Sunday
Have a good week everyone & happy cooking0 -
after doing a load of batch cooking my plan goes from wed.
wed stew and dumplings for kids, paella for me and OH
thurs. kids ate and grandmas, LO paella for me
fri, moroccan beef with lemon and sweetcorn cous cous
sat, pizza night
sun, roast probably roast chick and the trimmings
mon, pasta with veg/tom sauce
tues, kids eat at my parents so prob egg on toast or similar
wed, fish pie (hm, in freezer) with veg
thurs, probably more fish pie, its huge
fri, think kids are going to their dads so who knows for me
sat, out
should only really need to buy bread, fruit and veg. breakfasts are fruit and yoghurt and wm toast for the kids. wm toast and peanut butter for me.
kids have school dinners and i take leftovers or buy lunch at work- prior planning prevents poor performance!

Hi guys,
Can I join in please???
I saw this thread last week and I got lots of ideas from everyone. Plus, it'll help me feel a bit more organised, instead of going to work every day wondering what we can have that night...
So (sorry if it's not as well-planned as your lists!) this week we're going for:
- Lamb steaks with mash & frozen veg of some sort
- Chicken pieces slow cooked with anchovies & ... rice? ...potatoes?
- Chilli
- Quorn pieces stirfry
Only 4 days as away for the weekend. (I will get better at meal planning...)
