  • I live near a Chinese and the smell always puts me off. But they do, do nice chips though!

  • Is it possible to manage without a cheque book? Random question but I am looking at bank accounts.
  • Hi, i'm new here but been lurking the past couple days.

I'd say that its almost certainly possible to not have a cheque book. Personally i've not used mine since November 08 (she says checking the stub). All bills are paid at the bank or by DD so i have no use for mine really.

Hi speedybug - welcome, please dont be a lurker!

Bookie - funnily enough i was just 5 minutes ago talking about Manchester and the Chinese we had there, honest! spooky!
I had a nice chinese the other night, i love a chinkie cause it doesnt leave you uncomfortably full like an indian can....

Re the cheque book - i only got a cheque book in the last couple of years, and i use mine a lot... depends on whether you send much by post... i pay school dinners, brownie subs and the like mainly.... occaisional avon order, or betterware type thing i pay by cheque too...so i am a fan, having never had one before in my life!
I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....

No wonder they look young, I was looking at the under 21's......:rotfl:
am in the bar now looking at the fat supporters drinking wine..

Bookie, I only use mine for college things, Lils tends to lose real money! I certainly don't need a cheque book for anything else..

Just as an aside bookie, I have had my halifax easycash account upgraded today to a 'proper' account.......didn't expect that, but I have been a good girl since 2008 and they gave me a nice new shiny account.
