Friday 26th Feb - What small DFW things have you done today?!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important:D:D

Morning.....thank you for all the birthday wishes
Had a nice, quiet day....finished work at 12, a friend nipped in for a cuppa after that, cooked a yummy dinner for girls and myslef....not a bad day;)
Hooray for Friday......at last:T
Here's my list for today then:

From Gabriella......
Hi all i know a thread will be started for today but i'm up early well 2 hrs ahead to you guys. umm What are dailyscratchies and clicks.
i'm currently not working so am bumming around the house abit in a bid not to spend any money. Today is the 1st time in 15 years with no pay cheque eek. i;ve taken a career break to follow my other half to Cyprus with his job, and have also gone a DMP at the same time. All a bit stressful. But i shouldn't complain the weather has been better here than at home.
Any ideas for making money at home would be great.
Thanks xTotal debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Hi folks , wet and miserable day here today, staying in bed a little while then will rush round like a mad woman to get everything done.
Today I have / will :- check online banking - payday :j got a bit more than I was expecting so made extra cc payments before I got too excited.
- More money shuffling to do when i dig out post office account details.
- Checked Ebay , my one item that had a bid yesterday now has 6 bids and is at a much higher price than I expected :T
- Pub lunch with dad today - my treat
- Family meal out with mum tonight - mums treat
- surveys
- competitions
- make HM cookies
- Rush round cleaning before mum arrives
- wrap bargain mothers day present so mum can take it home with her sunday so i don't have to post.
- hokey cokey
- heating on low and on timer
Thanks folk for the inspiration and ideas :beer:When it rains look for RainbowsWhen its Dark look for Stars0 -
That's really great Picasso2! Nice one!!
I'm feeling really positive today too - first payday in about 6 years that I've not had cc#1 to pay!! Woo hoo. Have had that card for general spends and then cleared the balance in full on payday. Good in theory and will probably be good when I'm completely debt free, but I slowly started to realise that I never ever monitored what I was spending so every month I would end up with a £300ish bill and not a lot to show for it. Last month was the first month I took a little lump sum out of the bank and paid cash for everything. Ahh, new regime.
Anyway, my list for today goes like this:
- eating leftovers for lunch and still not been to the vending/can machine
- said no to going out after work for drinks. Eek, not making any friends here today...
- going to yoga tonight instead of going out boozing:A
- batch cooking at least one big dish tonight for easy meals for next week
- did The Official March Budget and stared in amazement that I have £80 leftover, even with £££ going to wedding budget, weekend away and a meal out.
Almost the weekend!
