3 Skypephone S2 on payg

Hi

I'm looking to buy the Skypephone S2 on 3 payg, maily to make free skype to skype calls.

Any feedback? I've called their CS and they reassure me that you just need to top up once to start making free skype calls.

This sounds like a fantastic deal, but is it?

  • If "3" cover the paces you want to use the phone it is fine.

Many phones from "3" also include Skype so unless you particularly want that phone you can widen your choice.

We have the S2 and it is a surprisingly good phone. It has been as cheap as £40 but the price varies.

The headphone socket is unusual (probably unique) but the phone also works fantastically well as a broadband dongle (just plug it in and the driver loads up under XP - it "just worked").

Free games and applications for the phone are available (google maps, yahoo stuff, Opera browser etc).

With PAYG on "3" you get some free data which I can't use up with the level of use of e-mail & surfing I make on a phone.

If you are happy with something a bit less "cool" than the Nokia or Sony phones both "3" and the phone get a big thumbs up from me.

    Enjoy !

I used Skype and MSN on 3 without topping up anything. I have the Huawei U7510 which I think is a good phone and connects quickly to skype with good call quality.
