Upgrade + Motorola Milestone + Orange = BIG headache.....

Be my Nurofen....
Here we go:

I'm trying to upgrade my GF to a Motorola Milestone on Orange Upgrades. As per usual, Orange don't have this phone available :T, - nor any other phone that wasn't around when Noah built his ark, so I'm stuck upgrading via external sites or taking a phone that I can sell and buy her a Milestone....

She is currently on a Dolphiun 35 - 600 mins and Unlmtd txts, but she rarely uses all of her xnet minutes (no more than 100), but does run up some costs with landlines. She needs the Unlmtd texts.

as Orange don't offer a plan where you can have inclusive landline minutes and texts (obvious ploy to make money off everyone), the best compromise is to get less xnet minutes and unlimited texts which will bring down monthly cost... this is what we've been offered so far:

Orange: BB9700 600 minutes, Unlimited Texts and BB net = £20 pm

Obvious issue is that if we sell the phone, the internet wont work.

Phoneboxmobiles.co.uk
:

BB9700 or Nokia x6 - £25 (or £20 cant remember) pm, 400 minutes, Unlimited texts and Net.
[STRIKE]
Motorola Milestone: £70 for phone, then £25 pm for 200 minutes and Unlimited texts, with unlimited net, works out at £29 ish quid I think....[/STRIKE] - Don't want to pay for phone unless it's a huge saving though.

E2save... had two offers of them, go figure...

Motorola Milestone:
£31.50 for unlimited text, net and 600 minutes. Phone free.
or
£25pm for unlimited texts, 200 minutes and then £5 p/m extra for internet, phone free.

So, on the Milestone, the £31.50 is essentially the best deal. Financially speaking the BB is, as if I seel it, I'd only have to pay £50 extra to get a Milesto, ebut when you factor in the internet problem, it's an issue.

Are there any networks that offer some landline minutes, xnet minutes, texts and internet?
Not many, maybe 100 landline minutes, 200 xnet, unlimited text and 500mb net.

Any suggestions on what to do? I'd like to get £25 pm for the xnet minutes, net and text... hopefully some landline in there, but not essential.

Thanks in advance :mad::j

the landline minutes should count in the 600 mins....she shouldn't have to pay extra for them....600 mins on mine is for local numbers and mobiles.

My husband got a good deal with orange, he called every day, he never got the phone he wanted, but for £10 a month he got a free nokia 5800 comes with music (a good little phone and unlimited music downloads for 12 months)...200 mins, unlimited landlines, 80 gb internet and 200 texts...he hardly texts at all and mainly calls me (but this is magic numbers so doesnt count).

go through to cancel the contract, tell them what you can get through websites, other companies etc, they will try to match it with a better deal too.

Thanks for the replies :)... that's odd, sure she gets charged for landline calls, have to double check with orange.
