Cheapest Xnet calls?

I'm looking for a cheap way of making Xnetwork calls. I'm on O2 (PUFFL) and Tmobile, both of which are offpeak contracts and are expensive for Xnet.
Is the Tesco basics simcard offer any good (£3.49 simcard/£10 credit as and when you need it) - it appears to be very reasonable. Value sim card is £3.50 and texts 5p, Xnet calls 15p pr min. I'm not looking for a phone, nor am I wanting to put money on every month, I just need to make Xnet calls occasionally which won't cost me the earth.
