Straight to the bric-a-brac, unless I have to pass the shoes to get there! I always check out the books and usually look at bags as well. I found a Fiorelli one (brand new) for £3 once!0

I head for the bags. Sometimes you can find an absolute bargain in there! Then, I head for the books, as I can't resist a good read.Trying for daily wins, and a little security in an insecure world.0

Depends what I'm looking for - ATM its curtains as I'm after a large one to cover a door. Usually look at most things except mens clothes for some reason! Toys are always a winner, bric a brac is nice - although I have too much already. Clothes - you can sometimes pick up some great things - must get my coat (jaeger wool coat for £22) out of the dry cleaners!
Find it helps to look in shops in well off areas - better stuff!! Found a gorgeous pair of shoes in Wigan the other week when we were visiting relatives, but they were a touch too small - grrrr!Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx

Depends on what mood I am in and if DS is in tow!
With him we head to toys, sometimes videos/books, but alone I head for clothing, books and perhaps the corner where the knitting bits live if there are any!Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.
Encouragement always works better than judgement.0 -
At the moment, I look first at the jumpers - homing in on anything cashmere!0

Clothes first, either ladies or men's then kitchen stuff as I'm also on the look-out for pyrex dishes and wooden chopping-boards.
Like esmf73 I always snoop round the much posher neighbourhoods than where I live (which isn't hard, nearly everywhere is) and I have a list of favourite shops where good quality things can be found like silk or linen separates and cashmere jackets. My latest purchase was a beautiful pair of grey wool MaxMara trousers for £8.0
