Years ago I worked quite high up in the Sales Department for R. White's. I can definitely confirm that Tesco's own label lemonade was definitely made identical to and produced at the same factory as R. WHite's at a fraction of the price.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Hipp organic baby food £1.35ish
Asda organic baby food £0.70
Aldi organic baby food £0.69
all have the same pouch and anti choke lid design, all are made in France.
Unless France is a global centre of excellence for organic baby food, possibly/probably from the same factory???0 -

Ha ha, that ad came to mind as soon as I read R Whites
Amazing how some ads can be remembered for close to 40 years later and others not so after 40 days.0 -
Sainsburys TtD Prosecco is made by Cantine Maschio ( you see the name on the side of the building), you can see it on the BBC 1 program Supermarket Shopping Secrets on monday 19th of June.0

Got another 1 for you, apparently Sainsburys cider (4 & 10 packs, maybe the 2Ltr bottles too) is made by Thatchers.
This might have changed, the label says its made in Ireland amd the only Irish Cider producer that I know of is Magners so at a guess its now made by Magners.0 -
One for those who like the Czech beanded lager Staropramen, a cheaper alternative is Sainsburys own brand Czech lager, says on the back of the label its brewed by Staropramen which I like rather than the brands brewed in the UK.0

I would happily buy wheatabix - but not at normal price, prefer promo prices, or 48 + 50% extra. When, such offers aren't available I'll go with the supermarket I have conditional spend coupon for.
However, just recently found an exclusion for that policy. Happened to pick Sainsburys version (48), didn't notice the 'new size' though I did wonder about the size of the box.
Normal ones are rectangular with curved corners, these new ones, are round. And it's not just the size that's new, I think the recipe is as well - more stodgy!
I be glad when they've gone, got a small box from Tesco for my Partner, but I will finish them off.
I used to love the Sainsbury's own-brand Weetabix but the new round ones are absolutely vile and nowhere near as nice as the old ones. Bah.0 -
Yeo Valley = Asda, S'burys, Coop, Collective Dairy, Tesco, Waitrose yogurts. This one has been listed before but someone doubted it - well this gov't recall should clear things up (: https://www.food.gov.uk/news-updates/news/2016/15375/yeo-valley-recalls-chilled-yoghurt-products0

I have worked for all the supermarkets as a delivery/collector drive through agency work and I can tell you that yes certain products from a manufacturer can be made for different supermarkets but they are mostly to different recipes. For instance pizza for M&S and Sainsbury are made in the same factory but the M&S ones are far superior as we are allowed to purchase from the factory shop and were not identical. And take a tin of beans from Tesco Basics range and remove the sauce fewer beans and the Basics are much paler. Apples that may come from the same farm are more than likely the ace of the crop for Waitrose but downgraded for another supermarket.
The statement I know it is true a sales person told me is tosh, a sales person will tell you what you want to hear to get a sale.
Yes TV companies, and other electricals, do put other manufacturers product parts in their products but it doesn't mean that a Panasonic is made by Hitachi because it has an Hitachi component in it. Certain components are always outsourced as in car manufacture, and only a few manufacturers make panels/screens and of certain sizes, so Sharp may use their own Panels/screens in some sets but LG in others.0
