Aldi's beef burgers, chicken burgers and "specially selected" Angus and Stilton burgers are made by Wessex Foods, Lowestoft, Suffolk.

    Stamp: UK - LO 043 - EC.

Just letting you all know that both Aldi and Lidls ready meals have the code "UK WG 035 EC" on the packaging.

Which seems to be the code for Foodpro Manufacturing LDT Wigan. http://www.foodpro.co.uk/index.html

Anyone want to keep an eye out for that code in other supermarkets ready meals?

how is it that you know that

Confusion? I didn't mean food stamps...that's something completely different. My mistake, but I fixed it.

Since every meat or dairy product (including processed food and ready meals) has to display a health mark by EU legislation, it's not too hard to track the manufacturer.

Here's the key that takes you to any EU meat or dairy processing company by means of the health mark approval number. In a few cases, you'll have to fight your way through foreign languages, but it's all there:

Tesco wheat biscuits 24s are exactly the same as weetabix but 30 percent cheaper.

They are nutritionally exactly the same - and same taste, so although I can't say for definite if they are weetabix made, that ARE the same.
