If they still work, you could try your local Gumtree website- either sell cheap or give them away- save you the trip to the dump!!Norn Iron Club Member 417:beer:0

You can take it all to PC World who will recycle it under the wee program for free.
or, if your as lazy as i am i would stick it on eBay a collection only 99p start no reserve.. Bound to get a few £ for it and it will be taken off your hands.
If you do put it on eBay dont worry about putting loads of informaiton, just take good pictires and describe it best you can.

Or you can just give them away on your local Freegle* group. Someone near you will probably be quite happy to come and collect and use it for the kids to play around on.
(*Freegle is what most of Freecycle in the UK became after the US owners of Freecycle started flexing their muscles and firing any UK volunteers that didn't agree with them).0 -
If it is scrap and no good to anyone most local tips now have a skip for electrical items so they can be recycled. It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0 -

Just be prepared to accept that you will get " No Shows" which are irritating in the extreme .I have got 2 PC's and a scanner out on the landing for the third time due to these time wasters .0 -
Thanks all this is a great help. Part of me wants to "advertise" but on the other hand as I am on a major declutter the PC world option sounds good to me!0

Yes, I know what you mean there - but after you've been using it for a while, you tend to get a feel for the way that timewasters interact with you.
I now never assume someone is coming to collect something unless they have sent at least one properly-worded reply and given a firm date and time. And always keep a reserve list.0 -

Trouble is these have been confirmed pickups...not to the exact minute /that's unrealistic but certainly I was given a date and a rough idea of when ...Now I am considering not giving the address to collect from until I have a phone number ..landline or mobile . Anytime I have said I would like something I have given my contact number without being asked .0 -
Put it on freecycle / freegle. Someone will have a use for it and it saves on landfill. Even if PC World recycle it, much will end in landfill, the rest will be shipped to China to be recycled.
I had loads of people after various bits of computer I gave away - and that wasn't even a complete, working computer (lacked a hard drive, as that is what had failed, prompting me to get a new computer).
Maybe I'm lucky, but I've never had a no-show yet...0 -
Dont you have a computer recycling centre(non council) near you0
