I haven't, I'm new on the wedding boards really, who is Linda. She sounds like a best kept insider secret!

She is our favourite person and a dressmaker too!! Lindaatno9 is her username!

  • Hi
Am in LOVE with this dress, it's very similar to 'the one' that I tried on that was too expensive for me at £999!
Just wondered what people thought of the seller, etc etc

I'm guessing "the one" that you tried on was the original SaBelle by Maggie Sottero? A gorgous dress, I tried it on myself but I'm too much of a shorty to carry it off! Was told by my shop that it's been one of Maggie Sotteros most successful and sought after dresses as it really is lovely. That pic in the link on ebay is the official Maggie photo of that dress, so just be warned what they are selling you is a copy of that dress and may not be exactly the same; maybe you already knew that so forgive me if thats the case. At least thats what I presume.... what is weird though is that they say you can go and see the dresses and try them on? If there is anyway you can do that then I would (they said they were based in Reading?). Other than that I would have presumed this was a Chinese copy? Also another thing is that if you scroll down the page on the right hand side, is a photo of a dress on a dummy that looks remarkably similar but isn't quite the same. I'm wondering if that is their version of the dress? Confused!

Anyway.... came on to ask for some help myself. Can anyone help me find some knickers please.....!! Yep, I need a pair of white or ivory nappy knickers to cover my daughters nappy under her little dress. Size will be 18-24 months. You often get them attached to summer dresses as part of a set, but sods law I can't seem to see any around and don't really need to buy a whole outfit just to get the pants. Plus I really don't want frilly ones; just plain cotton. The dress is froo-froo enough and I don't want her to look like a toilet roll holder with any more frills. And of course, they have to be cheap......!

    Thanksx

  • I think I tried on a very similar dress but not the MS one! I love these dresses, strapless with corset and lots of detail. Just can't find decent one cheap. I didn't realise they had used her pic! I'm obviously not very good at this lol. Thankyou!

Those pictures are of the designers dress, not their own. They have good feedback however I do know that some chinese based companies use feed back 'blackmail' These are chinese company just with a show room in UK. Be aware that if that dress is under £200 it wll not have the same amount of work as a 'true' maggie, but many people find that the dress is 'good' enough for the saving.

  • Ahhh, thanks everyone.
Don't think I trust them if they don't use their own images. Keep on looking I guess! Got 2 appointments to try on on Friday, it's getting a bit late now! 5 months to go :-s
My budget for the dress is about £500 max, I've been a size 10 in all the dresses I've tried on (I'm a 12 in regular clothes though).
