Sorry - forgot to post on Monday - I'm down a further 2lbs so virtually at 10st! Only a couple of pounds from target :D

On a related note - anyone see that program on Channel 4 last night? Supersize V Superskinny ( or something like that).

I couldn't believe that 700lb woman. As a lesson on why I watch my weight it couldn't be bettered and I ended up feeling so very very sorry for her. Sadly she died a couple of weeks after being filmed for the programme.

well done on the loss Amanita and nearly at target as well :j:j:j:j:j

Yep saw the programme - I felt so sorry for both the American lady (and sad to see she died soon afterwards - but not surprised if you know what I mean) and the UK "fat contestant", she reminded me so much of me in that you try and keep cheerful and you KNOW you are not over eating (except in her case the kcals may have been okayish but the food choices ... not so, and her Mum! can we say total diet sabateaur!!) but you still get called out 'cos "your stupid 'n' fat"

Yeah I watched it, and I felt the same as you, poor woman.
It was watching this programme in Jan 09 that sparked me into thinking that it was time for me to shift some weight! I just didn't want to end up that way!

Anyway on a 'lighter' note ( pardon the pun ;) ) I am ecstatic to report a LOSS this week and about time too! I lost 5lb - which is amazing, my little talk to self done the trick!

WELLDONE cg77....tori.k ....Amnita and anyone else who's lost/sts/gained who i've missed. Have a good day :)

Well done on the 5 pounds poshstock! Here's hoping we can all keep the momentum up over Easter :D

Dito Dragon, I saw the 'fat' contestant as me too. not only in size, but the way she behaved. My mum alway's made home cooked shepherd's pie, stew's and meat and potatoe pie and chips (mmmm....I can taste them now!) etc etc.....lovely but full of calories, and that's how I cooked, but now, you can change a few thing's and make it lower in calorie's if you try, or in my case just eat less and NOT be a pig!!!!

good luck on the 5kg :rotfl:

    Hello!
I've lost this week 2 3/4 pounds which takes me over the stone total!!!
Also means I've done my 4 pound target this month - hooray!
Well done everyone else with losses or sts. xx

I am so ashamed reading your sig, you started off heavier than me and are now lighter and I haven't lost anything. I really need a good kick up the bum. :(

    Hi everyone,
I´ve been doing a lot of walking this week but unfortunately I have had quite a few digestive biscuits (3/4 packet in 3 days) just as snacks with cups of tea. I have had a bit of a stressful time at work and been worried about OH and I know that is why I have been eating them as I don´t even really like them that much. Anyway, I have thrown them in the bin as OH doesn´t like them and at the moment I am finding self control difficult.
Weigh in tomorrow and I am expecting to have put on but as someone on here pointed out a while ago, better to weight yourself and find out. There is one week left in March so I want to lose some weight before April.
Just waiting for the rain to stop to take the dog out for a brisk walk.
    Have a good day everyone.

    Hello peeps :)
No sun here; weather miserable, I have a hangover BUT I stayed within my allowed calories in the process of drinking the one glass of wine that has killed at least a 1/4 of my brain cells. I just can't drink any more. At least not red wine :D
I've decided cause of my Thyroid problems I'm going to weigh in every fortnight. I have to be careful cause it can swing wither way so I can't really get my hopes up.
On the subject of that show - I always watch them (on more 4 as well) and think 'if I'm not careful I could be like that.....' you see what happens to the person and families and it makes you wonder. Really. Quite a sobering thought.

Anyway..... time to be thankful for losses and good health; DRAGON - sending good vibes - go away to the 5KG. Hope everything is ok with you all.
Will be back Monday when I weigh in.

    Sam x
