    Must purchase with £10 airtime

CeX currently pay £27.00 cash for this handset or £36.00 exchange vouchers

    :D

Can I ask a really stupid question? As you must purchase £10 airtime, is this airtime already added to the SIM which comes with the phone? ie you can't use the airtime on your existing SIM? I'm just wondering, as that would make each phone £24.95 instead of £14.95, and you'd be selling it (if thats your choice) with the airtime, wouldn't you?

You sell the phone to CEX and keep the air time to use your self if you have an unlocked phone so the figures are you pay £24.95, you recieve £30 from cex, £5 from Quidco and keep the £10 air time, which equals £35 - £24.95 = £10.05 profit. Although you may get slightly more selling it on Ebay with the £10 air time. By the way the phone is unlocked. HTH

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
I recieved a letter from Dial a Phone when I bought this, saying that I have to turn it on and ring them on an 0845 number so they know the phone has been received by me. Will they block the phone if I don't do this?

The feeling on this one is that its just a con of wasting you 25p of your credit. Ie: the sim card would no longer have the magical £10 credit (more easy to re-sell) rather than £9.75 credit

However I cannot confirm this is true - With both my handsets I followed the instructions has advised.

If you are re-selling the sim card, it is worthwile noting that Jamster (via Quidco) pay £4.37 for a subscription to them (In other words you give them £4.50 from your sim card credit, they give you £4.37 cash) then just simply cancel the subscription service straight away. I dont even bother to download what I've paid for.

Then you have sim(s) with £5.25 credit on, simply make a call from them and you've got a nice round £5 credit on the sim - easy saleable on ebay

    :)

This offer has been running for some time now.
I bought 2 from the link i posted but they sold out within an hour.
Price on CEX has gone down to £22 now so looks like CEX have spotted this deal.
Lots of people have read this on here and paidtoshop anonymously so you have to get in early.

i bought 2 payg in feb with them, the first with orange, the second this deal with vodafone. i didn't do this for either sim card and both had the £10 ok, worked okay, with no subsequent problems.

Ok so received the 2 phones a couple of days ago. One of the boxes was open and then sim was in the phone. Emailed dial a phone about it and said they couldn't garantee it wouldn't happen again as it was a quality control excerise. Does anyone know if the crdeit is on the sim?,just i though the credit would come as an air time voucher.
