Virgin mobile.....why only 2 phones?

i have an account with virgin mobile and they wont let me purchase more than 2 phones

'We reserve the right to cancel an order in the rare occurrence that we suspect any fraud or abuse or if you have already purchased 2 phones in the preceding 12-month period. '



I need to buy 2 more phones for family members abroad..
what do i do ?

Is this on a contract or PAYG?

Ive bought 3 PAYG mobiles from them in the past week for familty and had no problems paying for them or the order being accepted.

theres been a big problem in the industry recently due to people doing just that buying cheap phones here and shipping them off abroad or unlock them and sell them themselves with a huge mark up so the network doesnt really get anything out of it and a lot of people do this in bulk hitting people who really want to buy a phone for themselves,
3 even aparently went to the extent at one point of gluing the sim card into the phone and orange require you to buy top up with phones plus a lot of stores have introduced a 2 phone per person limit
im guessing thats something to do with it

I know Vrgin will not let you have more than 2 phones on a Direct Debit per person.

Also Just found out they charge 95p a min in France. 35p texts and 65p to recieve calls. PAYG

Little better DD 65p 35p a 25p texts

Don't use your phone abroad!
