Problem with current employer

Ginger - I appreciate the advice - I can't go to them about what the bank told me because then why did I go to the bank and why would the bank then bring this up as it could be a piviledged conversation between my firm and the bank. My bank said that they did not break the dpa. They told me that they couldn't have told the firm anything about me or they would be in deep s***. They couldn't have even said whether they were suspicious or not of me. The girl I spoke said that she remembered what had happened at the time because she thought it was totally crazy.
What annoyed me as well was that my employers said that they said they had told me that I could not work any other job. First off, they did no such thing. Second off, there is not a word about this in my contract.
Thanks for all the advice. I just need to take my time and calm down before I make any decisions here.0 -
Of course you can bring it up. You can say that the bank called you in to talk about it as your employers were trying to get them to break the DPA.
You really need to speak to your HR or union about this - What IS it that you do - you still haven't told us and it just seems so weird that you can't have a 2nd job???Noli nothis permittere te terere

I came by this information in a non kosher way. This happened ages ago - last year so why would the bank bring it up now. I don't belong to a union. I don't want to go into details about my job because hey, doesn't EVERYBODY read this site? If my employers found out that I knew this, I would get into a lot of trouble for it.0
